What To Do When You Become Lost

We all at one time or another have gotten off trail or lost if you want to call it that. While I am backpacking I usually keep an eye on the blaze marks (trail markers) posted on the trees. Along with that I have an overview of where I have been and where I should be getting to in different stages.

Trekking Poles Are A Standard Necessity

Anyone who is planning to take part in some serious outdoor adventures, no matter what the season, is going to want to consider trekking poles. Naturally, because one will be carrying these items on occasion, they should be lightweight, yet of good quality and reliable.

Camping Season

Some say camping is a seasonal activity. For me camping season is any time I can get a few days off to enjoy the outdoors. I can always find a reason to go camping.

 Cathedral Caverns

Cathedral Caverns State Park The first thing you notice about Cathedral Caverns is the massive entrance. The huge opening measures 126 feet wide and 25 feet high. And it gets even better. Inside the cavern, you will find Big Rock Canyon, Mystery River and some of the most beautiful formations Mother Nature has ever created. Among them, you will see Stalagmite Mountain, The Frozen Waterfall and Goliath, a huge stalagmite column that reaches the ceiling of the cave some 45 feet above!
