It was March 2008 when a local park ranger invited me to go camping at Havasu Falls. My response was immediately, “Yes!” and in May 2008, I set out on a 10 mile hike to reach Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon. My trip was three months before a flash flood hit the canyon, changing the waterfalls landscape. I’m not sure if the campground where I first pitched my Hennessy Hammock still exists, but
